This policy explains how Bear Poppa Studios LLC ("Bear Poppa Studios", "we", "us") handles information in connection with our website at bearpoppastudios.com and the games and applications we publish.
The short version
We do not sell your personal information. Some of our free-to-play games show ads through a third-party ad network (currently Google AdMob); that network may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads, as described under Advertising in our games below. Otherwise we collect as little as we can while still being able to run our website and support our games.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to keep a record of the correspondence.
- Website hosting logs. This site is served as static files by our hosting provider. The provider may record standard server request information such as IP address, user agent, and the page requested, for security and operational purposes. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.
- In our games. Where a game stores progress, it stores it on your device unless the game's own in-app disclosure says otherwise. Some titles show ads through a third-party ad network, which collects device and advertising-identifier data as described below. If a specific title collects anything beyond that, that title will disclose it at the point of collection and in its App Store privacy details.
Advertising in our games
Some of our games are free to play and supported by ads, served through Google AdMob. To show ads — including more relevant ones — AdMob and its partner networks may collect and use device identifiers (such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and general device information). This applies only within games that use AdMob, never on this website.
On iOS, games that use AdMob ask for App Tracking Transparency permission before any ad-related tracking begins; you can allow or deny this, and change your choice later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can review or reset your advertising ID in your device's Google Settings → Ads. Players in the EU, UK, and Switzerland are also shown a consent message covering these choices in more detail. Declining does not prevent you from playing — it only affects how ads are targeted.
Titles that don't show ads, or that are ad-free after a one-time purchase, do not use AdMob for those players.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this website.
- We do not run analytics that profile you across other sites.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. Any cookie set by our hosting provider is strictly operational (for example, to serve the site over HTTPS or to mitigate abuse).
How long we keep information
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to maintain a reasonable business record, and then delete it. Hosting logs are retained according to our provider's standard retention period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@bearpoppastudios.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Third-party platforms
Our games are distributed through platforms such as the Apple App Store. When you download or purchase a game, that platform's own privacy policy governs the information it collects from you. We receive only aggregate, non-identifying sales and performance data from those platforms.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be described on this page.
